Equipment that earns its floor space
MACHTEK supplies cable, motor, plastic and scrap recycling machinery to operators across the UK, Ireland and Europe. We’re biased toward throughput you can weigh, metals you can sell, and support you can actually reach — not brochure curves.
Who we are
Same MACHTEK engineering families you know from European yards — specified and sold for British and EU compliance expectations.
MACHTEK builds and sources industrial recycling equipment: cable strippers, hydraulic cable shears, cable granulators (including RECO lines with vibratory separation), plastic granulators and mills, electric motor recyclers, hydraulic scrap shears (ALIGATOR-style yard tools), shredders, weighbridges, conveyors, and specialist lines — tyres, textiles, radiators, data destruction, and more.
We don’t promise “lowest price on the internet.” We focus on provable recovery, wear parts you can reorder, and configurations that still make sense after year two. If a cheap box costs you purity or downtime, it was never cheap.
Our machines are designed for CE-marked, industrial use where applicable — documentation packs are available for your technical file / buyer due diligence.

Cable recovery in plain terms
The margin is in the spread: what you pay for cable scrap versus what clean copper and aluminium earn. Strippers slice insulation so you recover conductor with controlled labour. Granulators grind and separate fine and mixed cable into saleable granules — the right route depends on diameter, volume, and what your buyers certify.
We’ll help you choose between stripper-first, granulator-first, or a two-stage line with pre-shredding — based on photos, samples, and target kg/h.
Advice, demos, service
Pre-sales engineering
Send cable photos, diameter range, daily volume, available power, and how you sell output. We map that to M / W / Reco stripper families, N-series shears, RECO granulators, or a full line — and we’ll be straight if you’re overspecced.
Seeing the machine
Compact and manual units can often be demonstrated on site or via video. Larger industrial models may be viewed by arrangement — we’ll agree material samples and a test plan so you’re not buying blind.
After delivery
We support operators with running guidance, spare knives and screens, and retrofits as your mix evolves. Warranty terms are quoted per order — we align with UK/EU commercial practice.
Financing equipment in the UK
We don’t lend — we help you ask lenders the right questions.
Most UK recyclers fund plant using hire purchase, finance lease, or term loans from banks and asset-finance providers. Rates, fees and security depend on your accounts — always compare offers.
Government-backed programmes change over time. For an independent overview of options for smaller businesses, start with the British Business Bank — finance options and check whether schemes such as the Growth Guarantee Scheme (or successors) apply to your facility type. These pages are maintained by the institution itself — we link rather than paste rates that go stale.
EU-based buyers: ask your local bank or lease partner; we provide proforma invoices and specs for credit committees.
Delivery & payment
UK: machines can be collected ex-works or delivered by arrangement — we’ll quote crating, lift-off, and lead time with your order.
Europe & worldwide: we regularly ship machinery internationally; terms (EXW, DAP, etc.) are agreed per shipment.
Payment: standard practice is bank transfer against proforma / staged milestones for larger projects. We confirm everything in writing before production slots are held.

Talk to sales
One email with material, targets, and postcode beats ten brochure downloads. We reply with options — not a mail merge.
